2009 trend reports

The recession was still Topic A in the front rows, but designers offered plenty of persuasive distractions on the Fall runways, from sex-kittenish dresses to the season's must-have topper—the biker jacket. There were smart investments in the form of pinstripe suits and camel hair. Here, Fall's most important trends. Love it!!!

Oversized silhouette coat's and jackets

Oversized styles are key this season, as seen at Chloe, Prada, Moschino and Salvatore Ferragamo.
Red accents were seen at MaxMara and Chloe, while Marc Jacobs gave us neon flashes.
Neutrals tones are the go-with-anything answer - see Ralph Lauren, Narciso Rodriguez, Miu Miu and Michael Kors for inspiration.I love his new style of jackets i think on the catwalk they look absolutely stunning, original and truly gorgeous!!!

Why does Sarah Jessica Parker ever has an off day? she is looking absolutlely gorgeous at the premiere of her new film Did You Hear About The Morgans? wearing this hot pink L'Wren Scott mini dress and Charlotte Olympia platform heels. Carrie would be proud!!! She is amazing i love her...

The autumn/winter 2009-10 collection is super cocktail, lots of great short evening dresses. I especially love this red organza rock dress , which is really fun, flirtatious and subtly festive!!!

Poor posh!!!

Victoria Beckham (who i am in love with) was said to be distraught this weekend after up to 75 dresses from her spring/summer 2010 collection were stolen as they were on route to US department store Neiman Marcus in an attack on a delivery van. The dresses, said to be worth up to £350,000, were taken at knife-point from the driver after their collection from 19 Entertainment's head offices in west London on Thursday. The driver was not seriously hurt but was left bruised and shaken following the attack. Sure she wouldn't even notice but can't help feel sorry for this gorgeous sexy lady!!!

Valentino's spring collection!!!

Loving this simplistic, sexy yet elegant collection from the amazing Valentino!THE scene was set for new beginnings at Valentino's spring/summer 2010 show - something which its still relatively new designers, Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri, are keen to maintain.
This is a big change in style from Valentino the change means a new direction for him. It is more cool, modern, contemporary. It's very uptown goes downtown. The attitude is different...gorgeous!!

Audrey!!!

As far as rare and covetable pieces of clothing go, those created by designers including Hubert de Givenchy and Valentino - and then worn by style icon Audrey Hepburn - are among the most desirable. Some of the actress' most famous dresses will be auctioned next week in London with 50 per cent of the proceeds going to The Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund and Unicef. I just wish i was in London next week!

Sheer summer 2010!!!

Seen all over the spring/summer 2010 runways was the stunning effect of sheer materials from John Galliano to Marc Jacobs, its definitely a main trend for the coming season. I cannot wait till it reaches stores like Topshop!!! i think this trend will be a big hit!!! Elegant yet truly sexy!!!!

Oscar de la Renta!!!

Absolutely loving Oscar de la Renta's latest summer collection. With the utmost in refined ladylike chic. With wide-brimmed felt hats, or hair wrapped around the head in embroidered plaits, there were pleated kneelength dresses with matching jackets, summer frilled shorts and ruffled organza blouses. And to finish, a beautiful array of the classic de la Renta gowns including a white and black one-shouldered dress, which was the epitome of high-society dressing. This style is so classy and elegant, something of which i would not wear as i am way too short! Beautiful Oscar.....

Tie Die or to die for???

Tie Dye is back, and back with avengence. With its new exciting styles and captivating colours i think this will be a definate hit in the high stores in the coming seasons! The tie-dyed looks are set to brighten the Spring runways. “There’s something about tie-dye that speaks to everyone,” says Tory Burch, adding, “it’s a little nostalgic but also feels modern.” I think if the their is a new style that has come back around in the fashion cycle then its need to be carried out carefully!! It needs to modernised and edgy then the previous styles. I think this was reached for the spring/summer collections and i cannot wait to see other designers collections hit the catwalk's...

Lacroix is going downnnnnn!!!

It's been a rocky road for the house of Lacroix and it doesn't look as though it's about to get much better, A Paris judge is expected to rule on the fashion house's future today and, according to sources reported on WWD, the news won't be good with not having provided enough evidence of their financial relaunch plans. Im extremely gutted about this as i think Lacroix is an amazing designer! The collections are so beautiful and elegant! always new and original! Fingers crossed ladies this will not come to an end!!!!!

John Galliano RTW spring/summer 2010

Galliano's Spring/summer 2010 collection conveying drama and flamboyance - inspired, as the collection was, by the mystery of the residents of Hollywood in a golden and bygone era. While dramatic swishing gowns might not be everyday attire, Galliano did give us these style notes for ultimate fashion magpies. I think the collection is truly stunning! elegant,quirky,edgy yet elegant all words that come to mind for the amazing designers 2010 fall!

Lady Ga Ga...legend!!!

Lady Ga Ga is an absolute legend... who else could pull this fur coat with a bears head at the end of it off!! She's one sicko but you gotta love it!!!

Crazy shoes!!!!

Hummmm not to sure about these very unusual shoes!!! I think shoe designers are designing crazier by the minute... These shoes are very Lady Ga Ga-like. Totally eccentric yet the lady can pull anything off.... designed by Alexander McQueen- the legend of designers.

Karl Lagerfeld helmet collection ewwww!

For his fall 2009 collection, Karl Lagerfeld created what are probably the most fabulous scooter helmets of all time (their opinion not mine. the helmet's are beautifully decorated and embellished so intricately i just can't understand this new fashion!!!! Find them at Colette in Paris, of course, and at other specialty retailers, for just $1,805 to $6,837. However think of the value in not having to worry about helmet hair once you arrive at your destination, since you can't exactly roll up to the bar and casually set the helmet down somewhere. But you'll also probably want to wear it so you can turn up the music and drown out everyone less fabulous who tries to communicate with you. A real silly fashion!!!

A string thing!!!!!

Loving this new style, i think it looks really creative and effective!!!! Wouldn't mind my own dress similar to this!!!! Call it a sign of the times. With the old world order seemingly hanging by a thread, designers kept things together by lacing and tying and weaving outfits all over the Spring runways. Love it!!!!!

Why is Lilly Allen the face of Chanel?

She can't sing, she isn't stylish so why is Lilly Allen the face of Chanel? I believe someone who should be the face of Chanel should be sophisticated, elegant and glamourous! by the way she in none of these things...I don't get it i really don't. I think it it has just turned of one of the most successful designers ever to a joke of an advertisement!!! Harsh but fair....

I love Victoria Beckham's dress!!!

Why does Victoria Beckham always look amazing???Queen of couture, she pulled this loud strapless Giles dress out of her wardrobe for Fashion’s Night Out during New York Fashion Week, not sure about the mega-tan but you gotta love the combination of Gucci’s killer thigh-high boots and her skyscraping hemline. i just wish i could sew and i would definately run this little sexy number up!!!

It's had a serious style overhaul that has brought it to the forefront of this season's trends, Velvet looks absolutely amazing with hardcore studs or love-worn leather for a twist of downtown drama..A beautiful fabric that will update your winter wardrobe without breaking the bank!!! Loving my Topshop dress which i know is a classy little number that i will keep for years...

Are you prepared to go bare????

Bras, corsets, tap pants, and briefs were exposed all over the Spring runways.No doubt about it, innerwear as outerwear is one of the season’s top trends. But does the look work off the catwalk? Can you really show up to a meeting dressed as Madonna. I think as look as the look is not too revealing and can be worn with some elegance and sophistication then it can look fab! i know i have worn Bra type corsets to go out. However i think its important that it would be worn with a high waisted skirt or leggings! Another must have this season!!!
